A Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) was finally granted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) to PSU-Asingan Campus for the operation of a new program, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) effective this academic year 2020-2021 as per CMO 25, series 2015 of the Revised Policies, Standards and Guidelines for Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS), Bachelor of Science in Information Systems (BSIS) and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT)Programs.
With the collaborative efforts of the faculty and staff headed by the indefatigable Campus Executive Director, Dr. Valentin B. Calpo,Jr., together with Dr. Nemia Galang, college dean of Technology and Business and Mr. JB O. Doria, chairperson of the IT department, they were able to comply with the requirements set by the commission.
Dr. Rogelio T. Galera, OIC, Office of the Director IV of CHED, awarded the COPC to the PSU-AC IT department led by the Chairperson, Mr. JB O. Doria, together with his faculty members in accordance with the pertinent provisions of Republic Act (RA) No. 7722, otherwise known as the Higher Education Act of 1994. The said certificate was issued today, March 5, 2021 at the City of San Fernando, La Union.
