To acknowledge the participation of women in nation building and take part in fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, Pangasinan State University Binmaley Campus celebrates the Women’s Month.
March 30, 2021, the office of the coordinator for Gender and Development conducted the Women’s Month celebration with the theme: Juana Laban sa Pandemya: Kaya! According to the Philippine Commission for Women, this year’s campaign is different from the previous ones because it is set in the COVID-19 pandemic backdrop, which posed both challenges and opportunities for women. Hence, this year’s observance highlights women’s participation in battling the pandemic as well as discusses gender issues exacerbated by the pandemic.
Different activities were conducted such as zumba for the employees, Women’s Empowerment webinar and Serbisyo para kay Juana which benefited the women employees through pampering and relaxing services such as massage, manicure and pedicure services.
Also, this celebration was supported by the Campus Executive Director Dr. Roy C. Ferrer. According to Dr. Ferrer the celebration of the Women’s Month is really a great day to commemorate, as we honor women as part of the nation building. This event was participated by the Juanas and Juans of the campus.
