A graduate from PSU Urdaneta City Campus was one of the bestowed engineers in the 2021 ASEAN Engineering Register Conferment by the Philippine Technological Council (PTC) on July 17, 2021.
Engr. Manny Boy N. Cabalse was among the selected Filipinos to be named as “ASEAN Engineer” after a thorough assessment of academic credentials and professional experience supporting the training/workshop held by PTC.
Before earning the global acclamation, Engr. Cabalse had already made a series of titles.
After earning his degree in PSU Urdaneta City Campus, Engr. Cabalse immediately passed the Board Examination in 2014 as a Registered Electrical Engineer.
He was certified as a Registered Grade A Electrical Engineer in Qatar in 2014, then as a Professional Electrical Engineer last year by the Philippine Regulatory Commission.
To be an ASEAN Engineer, however, is distinct yet a privilege for Filipino engineers. Members will join the ASEAN Engineers Working group in ‘collecting, tabulating and disseminating information on the education systems, engineering curriculum, recognition of degrees and qualifications, accreditation of qualifications and requirements for achieving professional engineer status of each ASEAN Institutions.’
The Philippine Technological Council is the appointed organization to create standards in attaining such professional status with an adequate level of competence.
