To instill awareness on pollution and danger brought by non-biodegradable wastes prevailing in the community, the Pangasinan State University Sta. Maria (PSU SM) Campus sponsored the conduct of Trash to Cash Program in line with the/celebration of the University’s 40th Founding Anniversary held on August 30,2019 at PSU SM Open Ground.
The said program was spearheaded by the University Extension Services Unit in response to the environmental conservation and protection by collecting trashes from the students particularly plastic bottles and convert it to cash and to be donated at Missionaries of Mother Teresa to support their advocacy.
Dr. Honorio L. Cascolan, CED of PSUSM, delivered a message and expounded the importance of conserving and preserving environment and bared various solutions which people can contribute.
Hosting the program was Mr. Ace John Mark Liwanag, PSU SM Extension Services Coordinator.
