May 26, 2022 | Aimed to gear graduating students to be employment-ready, the Office of Guidance and Counselling Services, spearheaded by Ms. Donna May B. Gavina conducted an Employability Enhancement Seminar-Workshop at Senator Letecia Ramos Shahani Convention Hall.

 

Mr. Jomar P. Estrada, the Manager for Human Resource for Learning and Development of Magic Appliance Center, Inc., shared his knowledge and expertise on job seekers’ toolkits. He taught the attendees how to ace job interviews by giving tips and sample interview questions usually asked. Also, he trained them on how to compose an effective cover letter and resume.

 

Meanwhile, Ms. Roma Q. Madrigal, Labor and Employment Officer III of Department of Labor and Employment-Regional Office 1, oriented the attendees on the Basic Rights of Employees.

“Mag-apply ka ng trabaho to learn and earn experience,” advised Ms. Madrigal as she reiterated employee’s rights fundamentals.

 

Subsequently, Ms. Donna May B. Gavina, Guidance Counselor of PSU – Sta. Maria, introduced and taught the graduating students how to navigate the PSU online career portal before formally closing the program.

 

As part of the seminar, six (6) students won several awards. They are as follows: Jenifer Canillas and Ruby Anne Baguio (Best Resume); Hannah Lois Buen and Ronalyn Nemenzo (Best Corporate Attire-Female); and Ahmed Abu Mohammed, Jr. and Allan Mencias (Best Corporate Attire-Male).

 

In compliance with the IATF Protocols, several graduating students joined via Zoom.
