“A woman is far more than a mere human being.”

Indeed, the quoted line above indicates how powerful a woman is. She has the ability to establish a life, to cope with a great deal of grief, and to always emerge as the strongest person in the room.

Every March is the International Women’s Month Celebration which forms part of the worldwide observance of the International Women’s Day (IWD). In observance of this year’s Women’s Month, the Supreme Students Council of PSU-SM initiated a long-week celebration through online platform with the theme, “Gender Equality Today for Sustainable Tomorrow.”

The highlight of the said celebration was the conduct of “Search for Empowered Woman of the Year” with the following specifications: Diamond Level, Golden Level, and Silver Level. It was being participated by nominated empowered women in the Campus through an online nomination made by the students.

Dr. Gemma M. De Vera, the College Dean of Teacher Education Department, awarded as the Empowered Woman of the Year-Diamond Level; Mrs. Anabelle L. Caser, English Instructor and The Golden Harvest Adviser, bagged the Golden Level, and; Mrs. Grace Rapisura, a BSED major in English students and the Executive Vice President of PSU-SM SSC, won the Silver Level.

Truly, your accomplishments and contributions as a woman have been vital for being a driving force to the continuous movement advocating for empowerment, equality, and inclusivity.
