The Pangasinan State University Sta. Maria Campus was once part of EPNAS which later became EPAC. During these early years, courses offered were BS in Agriculture with specialization in Agronomy and Animal Husbandry and Two-year Associate Agricultural Technology. By virtue of PD 1497, collegiate programs, some members of the faculty and staff, facilities and equipment and a number of buildings were integrated to the Pangasinan State University System in the school year 1979-1980 and thus become PSU-Sta. Maria. Its first degree offerings include Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Animal Husbandry, Crop Science, Agriculture Education, Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Extension.
