With the mission of improving the socio-economic status of the adopting community, the PSU-SM Mushroom Research and Development Center (PSU- MRDC) and the Bachelor of Elementary Education trained faculty members and community members at Pindangan East Elementary School, Alcala, Pangasinan.
The trainees were taught the rudiments of preparation and management of mushroom production as a livelihood and income-generating mechanism. They also had their hands-on exercise in the preparation of mushroom beddings.
Participants were gratified by the knowledge they had acquired from the said undertaking. They assured the team they would maintain the project and make it sustainable.
Dr. Elisa and Cesar Della, heads of the PSU-MRDC spearheaded the said training.
